About The Position

The Retail Supervisor assists the management team in the daily operations of the store. Supervises and leads retail associates within the store location. This role works a rotational assignment supervising various retail categories. Ensures excellent customer service is provided to customers.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalency but not required.
  • 2 years’ experience with retail with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • 2 years’ customer service/retail experience.
  • 1 year supervisor experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry 30-40 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Ability to operate computer systems. Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Assign, guide, coach and train employees while performing the work of a Sales Associates as needed.
  • Complete retail operational requirements by scheduling and assigning one or more employees.
  • Set expectations, instruct, coach and identify training needs.
  • Maintain orderly operations of the store in the absence of the Manager and Assistant.
  • Resolve workplace problems by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity.
  • Ensures excellent customer service is provided to customers and donors.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information.
  • Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments.
  • Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results
  • Provide excellent internal/external customer service.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
