SUMMARY: The Retail Store Team Member provides exceptional customer service and supports the daily operations of the retail store. This role is responsible for greeting and assisting customers, processing sales transactions, preparing and handling product samples, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The Retail Sales Associate plays a critical role in creating a positive experience for visitors, while upholding the company’s values and commitment to quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service & Sales · Greets and assists in-person customers, delivering a welcoming and professional experience. · Provides product knowledge, recommendations, and samples to enhance the customer experience. · Operates the point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit, and electronic transactions with accuracy and integrity. Adheres to company policies, demonstrating trusted responsibility in managing financial transactions. · Manages and processes phone, email, and online customer orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Operational Support · Performs opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, reporting, and securing the store. · Cuts, weighs, wraps, and labels cheese products while ensuring accuracy and food safety standards. · Prepares and maintains product sample trays to highlight offerings for customers. · Cleans and sanitizes counters, equipment, and display areas daily; conducts deep cleaning and sanitizing on a scheduled basis. Inventory & Order Management · Tracks and rotates stock to maintain product quality and freshness. · Receives and stocks incoming deliveries; prepares and ships custom orders. · Monitors stock levels and communicates or place orders to maintain proper inventory. Compliance & Systems · Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures when handling products. · Updates pricing and promotional signage accurately and on schedule. · Accurately enters and maintains data in ERP and POS systems.
