HELP US LAUNCH BARGAIN LANE IN INDIANAPOLIS!!! Exciting news: Bargain Lane is officially coming to Indy! We are securing several locations across the region, with our first site landing on the West End. We are seeking a high-caliber, entrepreneurial Store Manager to take the reins of this location from day one. This isn't just a "keys-on-the-desk" role—you will be the architect of this store’s success. Your Mission: Build the Dream Team: Recruit, hire, and train your entire staff and leadership team. The Blueprint: Lead the physical store setup, from fixture builds to inventory merchandising. Grand Opening: Drive the strategy and energy for a high-impact launch. If you’re a retail veteran who loves the "build" as much as the "run," we want to talk. Job Summary: A Retail Store Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all that happens within the four walls of their retail establishment. They are tasked with managing staff, implementing strategies to drive sales, managing inventory accuracy, and maintaining a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in retail management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
  • Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
  • Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Schedule and manage employee shifts.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and motivation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance.
  • Ensure effective merchandising and product displays to drive sales.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Train staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses.
  • Coordinate with operations and allocations for stock replenishment.
  • Monitor and manage the store budget.
  • Analyze financial reports and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure that the store's layout and displays are visually appealing.
  • Implement seasonal and promotional displays.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers and staff.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations.
