About The Position

A well-established Specialty Retailer is searching for a Retail Store Director to join their team in NJ. The Retail Store Director will oversee all retail sales operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational excellence and delivering an exceptional customer experience across all retail channels.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Agriculture or related field preferred.
10+ years of Retail Management experience.
Strong Leadership, communication and team building skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with retail technology and POS systems.
Customer-Focused, adaptable, ethical and results driven.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and local food systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead, train and supervisor retail staff across multiple locations.
Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Manage inventory, merchandising and product presentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulatory procedures.
Handle customer inquiries and feedback to ensure a positive guest experience.
Collaborate with ownership and senior management on planning and goal setting.
Support marketing initiatives, special events, and community engagement.
Implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and address labor challenges.
Maintain a clean safe welcoming environment in all retail locations.
