About The Position

Celebrate and communicate the extraordinary role of Louisville Slugger in Baseball's past, present and future. The Customer Service Internship provides world-class service for all customers requesting assistance relating to orders processed over the phone, mail, email, or walk-ins. This is done through warmly greeting all guests, providing expedient service, & promptly answering any questions about the Louisville Slugger brand and/or the city of Louisville. In addition, this role is accountable for proper cash handling, exhibiting a professional attitude over over the phone or email, maintaining a clean and inviting store, and as well as stocking the store as needed. This paid internship is scheduled to work 40 hours/week. Weekend and evening availability is required.

Requirements

  • College Student
  • Enjoy interacting with the public and company employees.
  • Strong customer care skills
  • Practicable application and daily use of Retail POS system and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Access).
  • Merchandising and visual presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service for all inquiries in regard to email, phone, and/or walk-in.
  • Provide expedient service and move queued lines quickly but always with courteous and warm greetings.
  • Assist customers with selecting personalized bats, processing orders, and operating the laser engraver as assigned or as needed.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries from customers.
  • Complete tasks as required by the Retail Manager or Supervisors.
  • Must have flexible work hours, nights, weekdays, weekends, and Holidays as needed. May be asked to work night events at the Museum.
  • Advises customers by providing information on products.
  • Assist to Resolve customer complaints/issues in a timely manner that achieve satisfaction from the customer yet continue to adhere to company guidelines.
  • Plans and completes an internship customer service survey project with the Retail Manager’s approval.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Team player within the retail department and companywide.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
