We’re looking for a Retail Store Cashier who will deliver friendly, efficient customer service while supporting daily store operations. Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of cash handling experience strongly preferred
You must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Observes shift operation hours at all times, as assigned by the Store Manager
Performs specific task assigned by Store Manager
Assist the Store Manager in seeing that the store maintains a store-inspection grade of at least 90% on the store-inspection report
Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
Follows the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with Store Manager
Attend store meetings
Stays familiar with company price book, operations manual, and bulletins
Ensures Store Manager is made aware of all sales, cash, or operation discrepancies.
Operates shift within company guidelines to achieve sales and profit
Operate the register and related business machines
Accurate handling of cash and reporting
Check in vendors and gas deliveries
Stock warehouse orders
Prepare a shift-change report at the completion of shift in accordance with company guidelines
Notifies Store Manager of any discrepancies in the operation results on the shift report, cash over, or shift conditions in excess or $5.00 within 24 hours
Assures proper sale and accounting for lottery tickets during shift, as described in the operations manual
Rings all sales as per training
Accurately posts markups and markdowns, store use of merchandise, and bad-merchandise write-off’s, within the established guidelines
Counts the cigarette inventory on every shift, including counting and calculating.
