About The Position

The Retail Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the daily operation of the Burgee Boutique, and any additional retail throughout our properties, ensuring exceptional service delivery and an elevated retail experience for members and guests. This position supports the Retail Manager through staff supervision, operational oversight, scheduling coordination, inventory management, and financial reconciliation, while consistently promoting LJBTC, Inc.’s Signature Service standards. The Supervisor’s leadership directly influences guest satisfaction, department performance, and retail sales success.

Requirements

• Must have strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply procedures, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Frequent use of hands for handling merchandise and operating equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. continuously and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Proficiency in basic math, including discounts, percentages.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or Six months to one year of related retail or supervisory experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be available to work any day from 9am to 6pm including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, motivate, and support retail staff under the guidance of the Retail Manager.
• Supervise day-to-day retail operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional guest service.
• Assist with quarterly inventory counts, inventory accuracy, and merchandise organization.
• Support staff scheduling, departmental communication, and participation in retail meetings.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including communication with the tennis department regarding lesson and court schedules.
• Coordinate tennis bookings and lesson scheduling.
• Oversee Shopify orders.
• Dispatch maintenance requests and communicate with Engineering and other departments to ensure prompt resolution of service needs.
• Assist in reconciling daily shop financial information with the Accounting Department, including member bill inquiries.
• Assist in developing promotional materials and merchandising initiatives.
• Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and presentation of the Burgee Boutique.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
