About The Position

This is a permanent PART-TIME role, estimated to be anywhere from 3-7 hours per week, depending on store size and project requirements. Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer. This role offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift. The position involves performing in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, working with major brand retailers and small independent retailers.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi
• Must be tech savvy

Responsibilities

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week
• Scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store
• Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks
• Use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store
• Provide the quantity of about 45% of the products scanned
• Report to your store within the described deadline
• Complete Display Scanning on the entire store every week
• Perform Custom Projects, which involve providing more specific details about products in main stocking locations
• Adhere to weekly deadlines
