About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Intern to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass & Seymour Team. This is a hybrid position in Syracuse, NY. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Retail Sales Intern to support our retail channel operations. This role involves a blend of data analysis, administrative tasks, and occasional customer interaction. The ideal candidate will have strong data mining and reporting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Finance.
  • Strong data mining and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong note-taking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify trends in data and analyze objectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year coursework in majors above with demonstrated experience in statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Reporting:
  • Conduct POS analysis versus forecasting and shipments for retailers.
  • Perform ongoing retail market competitive analysis for all four brands (Pass & Seymour, Wiremold, ONQ, Sanus).
  • Generate weekly & monthly sales performance and forecast reports.
  • Monitor fill rates weekly for Home Depot and Lowes.
  • Competitive Analysis:
  • Build physical and digital Planograms (POGs).
  • Conduct price shop reviews and competitive product and promotional activity analysis.
  • Product and Promotion Support:
  • Support SKU setup for various brick and mortar or on-line retailers.
  • Complete new product add files.
  • Assist in coordinating new channel promotions and special events.
  • Provide MRO quote support and address technical product questions.
  • Cross-reference products with competitors (Leviton, Lutron, Cooper).
