About The Position

Smith Douglas Homes is excited to offer an 8-week Summer Sales Internship Program designed to give college students hands-on experience in residential new home sales. This immersive program allows interns to work directly with New Home Sales Specialists and community teams, gaining real-world exposure to customer engagement, sales operations, and the homebuilding industry. This internship is ideal for students interested in sales, marketing, real estate, business, or construction-related careers who want practical, professional experience in a customer-facing role.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred, not required)
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Availability to work weekends throughout the 8-week program

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Agents in model homes and sales offices
  • Welcome and engage prospective homebuyers visiting the community
  • Provide general information about homes, floor plans, and neighborhoods
  • Assist with lead follow-up and customer communication
  • Help maintain model home appearance and merchandising standards
  • Participate in community marketing efforts, events, and promotions
  • Learn and use CRM and sales tracking systems
  • Observe the sales process from initial prospect interaction through contract
  • Complete administrative and organizational tasks as needed
