About The Position

We are seeking a proactive Retail Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with independent jobbers. You will drive sales and promotional initiatives, optimize jobber participation in our program , and serve as a commercial partner to our retail customers. Warren Oil is the largest independent blender and packager of lubricants to the automotive, agriculture, commercial and heavy duty markets in North America. The company operates six manufacturing and packaging facilities, located in North Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. Warren Oil markets its lubricants, both conventional and synthetic, domestically and internationally to over forty countries, under the WARREN brand, the LUBRIGUARD brand, the LUBRIGOLD brand and the ITASCA brand. Warren Oil also manufactures and markets private label products for a number of Fortune 500 companies in addition to manufacturing and marketing a full line of automotive and heavy duty chemicals, including anti-freeze and brake fluids, under its proprietary AUTOGUARD brand name.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in retail or relevant account management, preferred within lubricants business
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and CRM experience
  • Must be available to travel as needed, estimated to be 50%
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to vendor onboarding systems, planogram tools, or retail merchandising systems (e.g., GSN, category management platforms)
  • Experience in national-scale retail accounts or traveling for meetings with retail partners
  • Self‑motivation and comfort working in complex, fast‑paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Sustainable day‑to‑day account ownership and relationship building with key independent jobbers
  • Forecasting and demand planning to ensure product availability
  • Execution of promotions and merchandising programs
  • Sales analysis and strategic account planning
  • Cross‑team coordination including logistics, marketing, and finance
  • Contract negotiations and performance reviews
  • Command of technical expertise to support retail partner
