About The Position

They aim to provide high-quality products and services, setting a new standard of professional excellence in cannabis retail. The Retail Representative role involves working closely with store leadership and reporting to the General Manager. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by understanding individual needs, surpassing expectations, and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, deals, and promotions. Successful candidates will undergo mandatory training at JARS University, which includes both virtual and in-person sessions at their mock-store training facility, to ensure thorough understanding of JARS' policies, procedures, and company culture.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
  • Acquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applications
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Basic math skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Cannabis industry and/or health industry experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of each customer, provide appropriate product knowledge, and conduct each transaction with accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilize suggestive selling strategies and actively upsell customers on products and promotions
  • Accept constructive criticism and coaching from upper management
  • Assist with inventory tasks when needed
  • Work scheduled shifts and follow the company's attendance policy
  • Follow all safety and CRA rules and policies
  • Promote the perks of being a JARS customer, including the Loyalty Program, referrals, and more
  • Record transactions accurately in the POS system, use appropriate login credentials, and ensure the accuracy of the assigned cash drawer
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Escalate customer issues to upper management when appropriate
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude and treat customers and co-workers with respect
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the sales floor
  • Fill in when short-staffed and remain willing to be cross-trained
  • Follow and integrate JARS company policies and procedures in all on-the-job interactions, tasks, and behaviors
  • Listen and respond to customer and coworker needs and requests in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
