Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Pharmacy Technician, Retail - Part-time $500 Sign-on Bonus! Position Highlights: The Nebraska Medicine Pharmacies are able to offer a unique pharmacy work experience that provides opportunities for pharmacy technicians that cannot be found in a traditional pharmacy setting including Meds to Beds, pharmacy automation and caring for complex patients. Responsibilities of Nebraska Medicine pharmacy technicians include providing a positive patient experience, delivering medications to discharging patients and dispensing prescriptions to traditional patients seen in our clinics. Part-time pharmacy technicians will enjoy a combination of working at our retail locations (Durham Outpatient Pharmacy, Lauritzen Outpatient Pharmacy, Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy and Village Pointe Pharmacy) to focus on direct patient interaction and working at our Central Fill pharmacy that supports prescription order entry and patient phone calls. Applicants may be eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus Shift details: Part Time & Benefits Eligible (0.5 FTE or 40 hours in a 2-week pay period) First Shift: Varied 8.5-hour day shifts Combination of self-scheduled and templated shift Monday - Friday shifts between 7am and 7:30pm (self-scheduled) One weekend (Saturday & Sunday from 8am - 4:30pm) every 6th week (templated) If you have questions about applying for this Retail Pharmacy Technician role you can contact the recruiter, Breanna Hutchinson, [email protected] Duties: Pharmacy Technician Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers and processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator required.
  • Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
  • If registered as a Pharmacy Technician, certification within twelve months of registration date required.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred.
  • College coursework in pharmacy preferred.
  • Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction) preferred.
