Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) preferred.
• Licensed by the State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician License
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and medication management systems.

Responsibilities

• As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the healthcare team by ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.
• Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing prescriptions while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• You will also be responsible for managing inventory, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies, to ensure that the pharmacy operates smoothly.
• Additionally, you will provide essential information to patients regarding their medications, including usage and potential side effects, thereby contributing to their overall health and well-being.
• Ultimately, your work will help to enhance patient care and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in the pharmacy setting.
