About The Position

What you will be doing: Prepare and dispense appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients. Lead a team of pharmacy technicians. Manage the overall day-to-day pharmacy responsibilities. Review and execute provider's prescriptions, checking their appropriateness and legality. Organize the pharmacy efficiently for easier product identification. Maintain full control over medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring condition. Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and provide information and advice. Prepare medicine using correct dosages and materials for individual patients. Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed. Stay current with HIPAA and Fraud Waste and Abuse credentialing. Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures. Ensure that the Pharmacy and its employees comply with Federal, State, and Local laws. Direct the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians and provide input into performance evaluations. Manage Pharmacy Technicians' schedules and advise on leave requests or medical accommodations.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current License to practice (PharmD) in Pennsylvania.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail pharmacy manager experience.
  • Great leadership, communication, and management skills.
