The Asset Visibility Services (Scan, Print, and Supplies Products) Retail Operations Solutions Manager is at the forefront of driving innovation, creating value, and delivering tailored solutions across industry verticals. As a key member of this team, you will play a transformative role in retail operations shaping strategies, developing design solutions, and enabling growth within the Retail segment. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, industry expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and a customer-centric approach to bridge the gap between market needs and organizational offerings. This is not a traditional role; it is a transformational opportunity to lead change, build impactful solutions, and collaborate across diverse teams to redefine how we engage with vertical markets. You will be a catalyst for innovation, transforming how Zebra's scanning, printing, and supplies are integrated and delivered to the retail market. Leverage data, technology, and insights to solve complex challenges and unlock new opportunities for our clients. This role involves defining product strategies, identifying growth opportunities, competitive threats, and leveraging market research and customer insights to expand market share. This role will work in close collaboration with the core product management teams to improve retailer workflows to define and prioritize solutions-based roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 12+ years of experience including at least 3+ years mentoring product managers or operation managers in related discipline or technology industry.
  • Strong full lifecycle Product and Project Management experience
  • Strong industry background/experience in Retail vertical strategy development and retail operations
  • Retail Software Solution design experience (inventory management)
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, market research, and utilizing insights
  • Retail/frontline operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Retail Vertical Strategy Development:
  • Leverage existing Zebra market data, and conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within assigned vertical(s).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine go-to-market strategies that align with vertical-specific needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding the retailer customer experience, pain points, new use cases, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes to shape solutions.
  • Solution Design and Innovation:
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing thought leadership on how to navigate industry disruptions and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops, design thinking sessions, and innovation labs to ideate and prototype solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, engineering, marketing, and sales) to co-create innovative, industry-specific solutions.
  • Use data analytics and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, cloud) to develop forward-thinking solutions that address customer challenges.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring solutions are tailored to meet industry-specific requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing thought leadership on how to navigate industry disruptions and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops, design thinking sessions, and innovation labs to ideate and prototype solutions.
  • Execution and Delivery:
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of vertical AVS solutions, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with client expectations.
  • Monitor solution performance, gather feedback, and refine offerings to maximize impact and scalability.
  • Provide training and enablement support to sales and account teams to enhance their ability to articulate solution value.
  • Thought Leadership:
  • Represent the AVS organization at industry events, conferences, and forums to showcase expertise and build brand credibility.
  • Publish whitepapers, case studies, and blogs to highlight successful vertical solutions and insights.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive movements, and regulatory changes to anticipate future needs.
