About The Position

As a Retail Operations Data Analyst Intern, you will support the Retail Operations team by assisting in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. This internship is project‑based and designed to provide exposure to retail operations, enterprise reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making within a fast‑paced, consumer‑focused business. Interns will spend time partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders, learning how retail data is translated into actionable insights, and delivering analysis that helps inform operational performance, efficiency, and execution. Based in Peet’s Home Office in Emeryville, CA - we require all employees to work onsite 3 days per week. This is a part-time, paid internship at $25.00/hr and will require a ~30 hours/week commitment from June 8-August 7, 2026. Internship Experience This internship includes project work, day‑to‑day collaboration with Retail Operations team members, and exposure to how data supports store operations at scale. Interns may also participate in broader program engagement opportunities designed to build business acumen, professional skills, and connections across Peet’s. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations, Economics, or a related field
  • Comfortable working with data and eager to learn how analytics supports retail and operational decision‑making
  • Familiar with or interested in Power BI, data visualization, and reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail with an interest in data accuracy and governance
  • Able to organize, document, and communicate analytical work clearly
  • Curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn in a hands‑on, team‑based environment
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and timelines in a project‑based setting

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports that support Retail Operations decision‑making
  • Support business analytics by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing multi‑source data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights
  • Create clear, effective data visualizations that communicate insights to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations partners to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into analytical solutions
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of data‑related issues across reports and dashboards
  • Stay current on Power BI features, enhancements, and best practices, applying learnings to improve reporting effectiveness
  • Document processes, definitions, and methodologies to support scalable and repeatable data analysis and reporting
