Retail Operations Analyst Intern

This internship is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area in order to be considered, as the position requires year-round availability while attending school full-time. Trane Technologies’ early career student program internships provide current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our internship opportunities offer candidates working toward their Bachelor's in Analytics Focused majors’ exposure to variety projects which will include various ways to apply your education in solving real world problems. Through our student programs, participants will have an opportunity to interview for our full-time, post-graduate, Accelerated Development Program for Analytics & Data Science or direct hire opportunities.
Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to leverage analytical tools to extract and analyze large data sets to provide actionable insights to the business.
- Coursework or experience utilizing some or all of the following: Python, R, SQL, Dataiku, Tableau, or other visualization software, cloud based tools like BigQuery.
- Pursuing a BS/BA in Analytics related field such as Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, or similar.
- Cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0.
- Interest in a career in Analytics or Data Science.
- At least one internship or work experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects.
- U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Currently reside in the La Crosse area.
- Year-round availability while attending school full-time.
Responsibilities
- Apply education in solving real world problems.
- Collaborate with others on the analytics team to develop an understanding of the data, the business, and technical approaches.
- Understand data sets essential to developing models, visualizations, reports, and insights.
- Leverage analytical tools to extract and analyze large data sets to provide actionable insights to the business.
