Roost Chicken Salad & Deli is seeking three energetic, relationship-driven Retail Market Specialists to lead and grow our attached Roost Market in Tyler, Texas. This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves Southern hospitality, enjoys connecting with guests, and thrives in a retail environment where food, community, and experience come together.
Our Market features a curated selection of Southern favorites alongside Roost’s signature grab-and-go items, including fresh chicken salads, family-style casseroles, seasonal salads, and specialty goods. The Retail Market Specialist will serve as the face of the Market — creating a welcoming atmosphere, driving sales, and ensuring every guest leaves delighted.

Requirements

• Retail and/or food service experience preferred
• Strong sales instincts with a passion for hospitality
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for merchandising
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic about creating memorable guest experiences
• A natural relationship-builder who enjoys engaging with the Tyler community

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Roost Market
• Merchandise and maintain an inviting, organized retail space
• Promote and sell grab-and-go items, giftable goods, and seasonal features
• Build meaningful relationships with guests and encourage repeat visits
• Educate customers on Roost products, catering options, and market offerings
• Track inventory and coordinate restocking
• Support in-store promotions, tastings, and special events
• Work collaboratively with restaurant leadership and team members
