Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day retail store operations, ensuring alignment with Penny Linn brand standards, culture and customer experience
  • Directly manage, coach and develop the associate and assistant manager team, including performance feedback, goal setting and corrective action when necessary
  • Own store-level sales performance by analyzing KPIs and implementing action plans to meet or exceed goals
  • Create and manage associate schedules, payroll oversight and labor planning to meet business needs while controlling costs
  • Maintain full accountability for inventory accuracy, loss prevention, receiving, transfer and cycle counts
  • Partner with leadership on seasonal buying needs, product assortment feedback, and demand forecasting specific to the NYC location
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are executed consistently and evolve layouts to drive sales and storytelling
  • Lead hiring, onboarding and retention strategies to build a strong, knowledgeable and engaged retail team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between store staff and senior management, communicating updates, initiatives and feedback both ways
  • Plan, execute and evaluate in-store events and community programming, tracking results and optimizing for engagement and sales
  • Ensure all store policies, procedures and safety standards are followed and maintained at all times
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, POS operations and daily/weekly reporting accuracy
  • Drive exceptional custom relationships, including handling escalated customer concerns with professionalism and care
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of SOPs, training materials and best practices fr the retail channel
