This role ensures compliance with client culture and guidelines, health department regulations, and company standards and policies. The Retail Manager leads, trains, and develops the team to achieve operational goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, strategic decision-making, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience
  • Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, corporate dining, education, healthcare, or similar operations
  • Strong customer service background with proven communication and conflict management skills
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and make sound strategic decisions
  • Experience with cash handling and retail operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet based systems

Nice To Haves

  • Retail marketing experience preferred
  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day Starbucks retail operations at Butler University and ensure consistent service execution
  • Lead, train, motivate, and develop team members to deliver high quality customer service
  • Manage scheduling, cash controls, payroll records, and frontline hiring while maintaining a flexible schedule
  • Plan and supervise special events and functions
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and clients to support operational success
  • Make strategic decisions to drive efficiency, service quality, and guest satisfaction
  • Handle conflict management and resolve customer or employee concerns professionally
  • Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
