About The Position

Bargain Lane is expanding and is looking for a dynamic Retail Lead to help launch their brand-new Indianapolis East location. As a key member of the founding leadership team, this role involves setting standards for customer service, mentoring new associates, and ensuring seamless operations from day one. The ideal candidate is a high-energy leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Retail Keyholder, the position supports the store management team in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the store, managing cash and sales transactions, ensuring a positive customer experience, and assisting in the supervision of the sales team.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and perform basic math functions.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable and responsible with a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store following established procedures.
  • Ensure all security measures are in place during opening and closing.
  • Manage cash registers and perform cash handling duties accurately.
  • Conduct cash audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and returns.
  • Support the sales team by helping customers and driving sales.
  • Ensure merchandise is well-stocked and displayed appropriately.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of retail staff.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure team members are meeting performance expectations.
  • Monitor and enforce security measures to prevent theft or loss.
  • Collaborate with management on implementing loss prevention strategies.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking merchandise.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to store management.
  • Communicate effectively with the store management team and staff.
  • Relay important information to team members as needed.
