The Retail Floor Supervisor is a crucial leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experience, and coordinating day-to-day store execution. This role assists the Store Manager by overseeing the sales floor, coaching team members on customer engagement, loyalty, and operations, and ensuring consistent execution of store standards, processes, and policies. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., cash register, computers, phones, scanners, etc.).
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
  • Walk and move to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
  • Ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking the store.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Manual labor is required occasionally to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
  • Vision to accurately read labels, assist customers, and perform tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Ability to use fine manipulation and grasp with hands to sort and organize clothing (e.g., place on hangers, folding, organize in color/size order).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellence in customer service by upholding high retail standards to provide an in-store experience aligned with company standards.
  • Initiate conversations with all customers, building relationships to understand interests and suggest products.
  • Assist customers in the fitting room.
  • Recommend products aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling and encourage purchases.
  • Build brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and lead the team to achieve goals.
  • Proactively learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
  • Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
  • Provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Assist in leading daily store operations, including opening and closing, maintaining point-of-sale integrity, freight processing, loss prevention, and safety initiatives.
  • Merchandise designated areas of the store following brand guidelines, adapting as needed to support sales and visual impact.
  • Consistently ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • React quickly to all customer and/or employee injuries and report them immediately to the Store Manager and Human Resources.
  • Participate in Loss Prevention Audits, review results, and execute a plan to meet district and company shrink goals.
  • Act as Manager on Duty on a rotating basis.
  • Assign tasks as needed to team members to support achievement of daily goals.
  • Provide in-the-moment advice to Sales Associates and Sales Leads, updating the Store Manager regularly on performance.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, loss prevention initiatives, and store procedures.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Execute the plan for management of labor and payroll expenses to maximize sales and productivity under the direction of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
