About The Position

Maintains the strictest standards for 4473 paperwork by checking all forms for errors before filing. Acts as a liaison between the retail store and the compliance department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Retail & inventory control with ATF 4473 experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to organize high volume paperwork.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Orchid, Microsoft Office, & ATF 4473.
  • Effective communication both orally and written.
  • Positive attitude, goal driven, and focused on the overall strategic picture of the organization.
  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, reports, computer screens and other written communication.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk to locate serialized items, or file paperwork.
  • Must be able to use step-stool or ladder, etc.
  • Must be able to place product on/off conveyor, trucks, shelving, etc.
  • Must be able to write, type and use phone system.
  • Candidate must be able to lift 70 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position may involve access to technology or software source code subject to U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR). Employment is contingent on verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license/confirming the availability of a license exception. Applicants must provide information for export control screening, which will be reviewed for compliance. Palmetto State Armory may elect not to pursue a license or exception and may decline to proceed with an applicant on that basis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the 4th redundancy checks on all completed 4473’s.
  • Conduct monthly serialized inventory audits.
  • Assist with internal & external financial audits of serialized items.
  • Maintain proper filing of all ATF related records.
  • Prepare daily reports that will detail completed and outstanding workloads.
  • Offers direction, training, and consultation on compliance matters to store management and staff as directed by the corporate Compliance department.
  • Coordinates with store management to accomplish store goals.
  • Learn and understand all ATF/FBI guidelines in regard to 4473 compliance.
  • Lead all efforts in cycle counts for serialized items.
  • Follows up on discrepancies and inconsistencies with ATF paperwork.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
