About The Position

This position will report to the VP of Compliance over New Products and New Programs and will be primarily responsible for review and tracking of new Strategic Partner policies, procedures, marketing, and other related documents for compliance with federal and state lending regulations as well as WebBank requirements.  This position will work closely with our Business Development team and other stakeholders, when implementing new credit products, to ensure that new Strategic Partner Programs are compliant. In this position, you will leverage your compliance experience to develop positive working relationships with Strategic Partners and internal stakeholders to execute the WebBank’s strategic business initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 year of consumer credit regulatory compliance experience or 3 years of consumer credit regulatory compliance experience without a degree.
  • Basic understanding of federal and state lending laws including ECOA, FCRA, UDAP/UDAAP, FDCPA, Privacy and CCPA, TILA, CARD Act, etc. required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and other related to Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience using Jira to manage projects and generate progress reports.
  • Ability to read, analyze and discuss legal and statutory materials and apply to current products and services and spot compliance gaps.
  • Driven individual with a strong commitment to career progression and personal development within the role.
  • Good judgment and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively and build relationships, both internally and with Strategic Partners..
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, take ownership of projects and successfully meet established project deadline requirements.
  • Ability to proactively identify and remediate process gaps.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a FinTech, credit, or bank environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first level of compliance review and tracking of proposed WebBank and Strategic Partner Program business practices, policies, procedures, credit pricing, origination software systems, marketing materials, customer correspondence, documents, and disclosures to ensure they comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Effectively coordinate with the Compliance Manager and VP of Compliance to ensure documents are reviewed timely and effectively.
  • Identify and notify the Compliance Manager and VP of Compliance of potential compliance risks discovered within documents and processes being reviewed.
  • Collaborate with co-workers of other WebBank departments such as Due Diligence and Implementation, Operations, Credit, and Financial Crime Compliance to ensure compliance risks are identified and appropriately addressed.
  • Drive regular Compliance reporting to management using the teams project management tool, Jira.
