About The Position

As a Furniture Sales Colleague, also known as a Big Ticket Colleague, you are at the forefront of creating exceptional shopping experiences in our Furniture department. You will build lasting customer relationships by offering personalized service, demonstrating deep product knowledge, and helping customers find furniture solutions that suit their lifestyles and needs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for achieving sales goals, promoting protection plans, managing return rates, and encouraging customer engagement with our loyalty program. In addition, you will support inventory and fulfillment activities within your department. You’ll use technology to assist customers in visualizing their purchases, placing orders, and comparing products. By staying current on product training through digital tools and vendor resources, you’ll provide expert guidance and confidently address customer questions and concerns. Your commitment to service continues beyond the sale, maintaining contact throughout the delivery process and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
  • Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
  • Meeting daily sales goal challenges along with Client and Protection plan goals
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
  • Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
  • You can handle electronic devices with no problem
  • 1-2 years of related experience is required
  • This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
