About The Position

Sun Outdoors Ocean City is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Retail Cashier (Seasonal) to join our team. As the first point of contact in our on-site retail store, you will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently handling guest purchases and transactions. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced resort environment while assisting guests and helping create a positive and welcoming shopping experience. The Retail Cashier is responsible for accurately processing payments and maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Guest service experience required; retail or hospitality experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
Basic math skills required for cash handling, making change, and balancing drawers
Ability to resolve guest concerns calmly and effectively
Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with guests
Ability to operate POS systems and cashier equipment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

retail or hospitality experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately process guest transactions, including cash, credit cards, and house charges
Verify purchase totals and ensure all transactions are completed correctly
Provide excellent customer service and address guest questions or concerns in a professional manner
Follow cash-handling and accounting guidelines for cash drawer and house bank management
Balance and secure the house bank at the end of each shift
Maintain compliance with Point of Sale (POS) procedures and resort policies
Other duties as assigned
