About The Position

The mission of the Assistant Store Manager at Cozey We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support the launch and day-to-day operation of our Los Angeles pop-up store. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will act as a key leader on the sales floor, helping to uphold Cozey’s service standards, operational discipline, and store presentation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments, enjoys coaching and developing others, and wants to grow their leadership experience within a high-growth brand. As this is a pop-up location, we are seeking someone who is energized by building, operating, and maintaining excellence in a dynamic, time-bound retail setting.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for sales and relationship-building.
  • Confident communicator who can coach, motivate, and collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Organized, adaptable, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for retail operations.
  • Able to handle the physical aspects of the role (standing for long periods, light lifting).
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Shopify or Shopify POS is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, acting as a floor leader and point of contact during shifts.
  • Coach and motivate Cozey Ambassadors on the floor to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve sales goals.
  • Engage customers directly by providing product guidance, assisting with orders, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience using Shopify POS.
  • Help track and communicate key store KPIs (sales, conversion, email capture) and support initiatives to improve performance.
  • Ensure store standards are upheld, including visual merchandising, cleanliness, opening/closing procedures, and operational compliance.
  • Support inventory-related tasks such as order follow-ups, draft orders, backstock organization, and supply management.
