About The Position

The Retail and Rental Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both retail hard goods sales and rental services at the ski resort, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across both areas. This role requires strategic planning to maximize revenue, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain efficient inventory management for retail products and rental equipment. The manager will lead and develop a shared resources team of retail and rental associates, fostering a collaborative environment that drives productivity and service excellence. They will analyze market trends and customer feedback to implement improvements and promotional strategies that align with business goals. Ultimately, the Retail and Rental Manager ensures that all operational aspects comply with company policies and industry regulations while delivering a superior customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management or rental services management.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily retail and rental operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales and rental strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance and professional development.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and maintenance of rental equipment and retail stock.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and adjust operational plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards across all retail and rental activities.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain strong client relationships to promote repeat business.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute promotional campaigns and special offers.
