About The Position
Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to support our nursing and rehabilitation teams. The RNA focuses on helping residents maintain or improve their physical functioning and independence by implementing restorative care programs under the direction of licensed nursing staff and therapy professionals.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of California
- Understanding of rehabilitation and restorative care principles
- Strong observational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to motivate and encourage residents
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Additional training or experience in restorative nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Carry out individualized restorative care plans as directed by nurses and therapists
- Assist residents with range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, and mobility training
- Support activities designed to maintain or improve strength, balance, and endurance
- Encourage resident participation and independence in daily activities
- Monitor and document resident progress and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with proper positioning, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of restorative services provided
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes
