Provides restorative nursing to residents as instructed by the assessment of the RN, RPT and/or Occupational Therapist (OTR). Restorative care may include functions of range of motion (passive/active), walking, splint or brace assistance, dressing/grooming, toileting, eating or swallowing, bladder retaining, amputation/prosthetic care transfers, communication, bed mobility and/or strengthening. Communicates any changes in decline and process to the charge nurse, OTR and/or RPT Is responsible for documentation of all care given Attends nursing in-services as directed Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when operating any equipment Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions to your supervisor immediately Follow OSHA guidelines and facility policy and procedures for infection control Maintain confidentiality of resident PHI (personal health information) Provide privacy and dignity to all residents May be required to perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Must have a valid CNA license
  • 1 year of long term care experience a must
  • CNA
  • CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Follow OSHA guidelines and facility policy and procedures for infection control
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident PHI (personal health information)
  • Provide privacy and dignity to all residents
  • May be required to perform other duties as required
