The hourly rate for this role is $21 or above DOE. This is a part time (25 hours per week) role. There may be the occasional Saturday/Sunday shift need. We are hiring a Restorative Aid to join the team! This role supports patients who have finished physical therapy but need assistance with an exercise program. This role provides assistance and encouragement to patients to complete exercise programs to maintain quality of life.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • CPR certification or become certified within six months of hire.
  • Must be compassionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English with residents/team members.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and want to work in a team environment.
  • Must maintain confidential resident information.
  • Physical Requirements Include Ability to assist residents mobility, able to lift/push pull up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull and talk.
  • Must be able to assist with transfers up to 100 lbs at waist height.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer CNA training and experience working with older persons.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the exercises or walking program created by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provides exercises to improve or maintain strength and balance.
  • Documents each session in the ‘after-therapy’ log .
  • Reports any significant change of condition to the PT or PTA.
  • Understands and adheres to all policies and procedures at Eastmont.
  • Promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of Eastmont and Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
