About The Position

Join a high-performing restoration team serving some of NYC’s most demanding commercial and residential properties. As a Restoration Crew Chief, you will lead emergency response operations for water, fire, and mold damage restoration projects across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. As the front-line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Restoration Crew Chief embodies the company’s Here to Help® commitment by coordinating, monitoring, and performing project work to successfully meet service needs and deliver a consistently positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma/GED (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of restoration industry experience (water/fire damage)
  • Basic computer/smartphone proficiency
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents

Nice To Haves

  • ICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification
  • IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification
  • Experience with restoration equipment and hand/power tools
  • Knowledge of NYC building requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise restoration technicians on residential and commercial job site
  • Respond to emergency calls and assess property damage
  • Perform and oversee water, fire, and mold restoration services
  • Manage daily job-site operations to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Communicate expectations clearly and coordinate with project managers and office staff
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and job sites in accordance with SERVPRO standards
  • Complete accurate job documentation and ensure compliance with IICRC and safety protocols
  • Communicate and follow all OSHA guidelines for job safety
  • Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly
  • Coach and train restoration technicians
