About The Position

SERVPRO Team JRF is an independently owned, multi-location restoration franchise serving residential and commercial customers across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our Salem, MA office is the hub of our Massachusetts operations, handling water damage mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, and large-loss commercial projects for insurance carriers and their policyholders. We are an insurance-carrier preferred vendor. We run year-round, we are growing, and we invest in the people who make our jobs run right. THE OPPORTUNITY We are hiring a Restoration / Mitigation Project Manager to be based out of our Salem, MA office. This person will own a portfolio of Massachusetts jobs from first notice of loss to final invoice — managing crews, communicating with insurance adjusters and property owners, writing and negotiating Xactimate scopes, and ensuring every project closes on time, on budget, and to standard. Total compensation is $90,000 – $110,000 (base salary plus performance bonus), reflecting what we expect from this role: experienced, independent, and accountable. This is not a training position. We need someone who already knows how restoration jobs run.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in the property restoration industry (water, fire, or mold — not general construction)
Demonstrated experience writing and managing Xactimate/Symbility estimates
Working knowledge of IICRC S500 (WRT) and S520 (AMRT) standards
Experience managing insurance adjuster and TPA relationships
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required to operate company vehicles)
Clean background — background check is a condition of employment
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role: lifting, working in confined or wet environments, wearing appropriate PPE

Nice To Haves

Active IICRC WRT, ASD, or AMRT certification
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Prior SERVPRO system experience

Responsibilities

Manage water damage mitigation, fire/smoke restoration, and mold remediation projects from initial response through job close
Serve as the primary contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, and TPAs throughout the project lifecycle
Write, submit, and negotiate Xactimate/Symbility scopes, supplements, and change orders
Schedule, direct, and supervise field crews and subcontractors across active Massachusetts job sites
Conduct moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, and daily monitoring documentation on mitigation jobs
Ensure all work meets IICRC S500 and S520 standards and carrier program requirements
Maintain complete, real-time job documentation: photos, moisture readings, daily logs, authorizations, and certificates of completion
Communicate proactively with adjusters and TPAs to move files forward and avoid approval delays
Manage materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to protect job-level gross margin
Identify and capture supplemental scope on active jobs
Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response
