About The Position

craftPDX is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee dining room service and manage, train and mentor floor and bar staff. We are looking for a motivated and engaged Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Restaurant Supervisor will assist the Executive Chef with the operating performance of the restaurant.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience in restaurant management (upscale experience preferred)
• Computer literacy- Micros experience a plus
• Strong communication skills required (Oral and Written).
• OLCC/Food Handler's Card
• Open availibilty

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily FOH operations of the restaurant and lounge by maintaining established quality and service standards at all times.
• Instruct, train, and coach employees in the proper performance of their duties with regard to service and safety.
• Support the career development of employees under their supervision.
• Complete assigned paperwork, i.e. scheduling, tips allocation, comps and shift close paperwork.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and keep staff educated and informed of daily events, menu changes, special guests, etc.
• Ensure the standards and appearance of the dining room, bar, and reception area at all times.
• Ensure that proper scheduling and staffing levels are maintained; maintain a daily labor cost as outlined in the daily labor report.
• Support Banquets as needed.
• Provide support to Executive Chef in continued education of staff.
