About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Supervisor / Banquet Captain to lead our food service team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, coordinate banquet events, and maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, and safety. Your leadership will inspire staff, streamline service processes, and uphold the reputation of our establishment as a premier destination for dining and special events. This position offers a dynamic environment where your management skills and culinary knowledge will shine, contributing to a vibrant hospitality experience for all patrons. This is a part-time position with variable hours due to business needs. It requires weekend and holiday availability. Applicants must be able to perform some heavy lifting with or without reasonable accommodations. The range of pay is $16.00 to $ 22.55, DOE. The rate differs on which role you are working in.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or fine dining environments; banquet experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced settings; capable of training and developing staff effectively.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and solid understanding of cash handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and food safety regulations; ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; adept at resolving guest issues diplomatically.
  • Culinary experience, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise restaurant staff during shifts, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to company standards in food presentation, customer interaction, and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate banquet setups, manage event timelines, and oversee catering operations to deliver flawless event execution.
  • Train new team members on food handling, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and customer service protocols to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies; implement control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock management.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and POS operations, ensuring financial integrity at all times.
  • Enforce food safety standards in compliance with health regulations; oversee proper food preparation, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Assist with shift management by scheduling staff efficiently, resolving customer concerns promptly, and maintaining a positive team environment.
