About The Position

As a key member of the leadership team, the Restaurant Service Manager is accountable for the food and beverage outlets and meeting space. The Restaurant Service Manager committed to guest satisfaction and providing a great experience for all guests. A Day in the Life: You will move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards. You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the Food and Beverage operations. You will work with the hotels’ sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained. You will coordinate with the Corporate Food and Beverage team in the planning of meals and menus. You will work with the Hotel General Manager and Assistant General Manager on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice input. You will work with the Corporate Food and Beverage team on product pricing, menus, and wine selection. You will collaborate consistently with the Executive Chef. You will consult with the Executive Chef and other applicable hotel managers daily to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction is being met. You will establish quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department. You will help develop and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the Food and Beverage department. You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage department You will be responsible for developing an operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets. You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Food and Beverage Department (i.e. budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.) You will execute inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation You will prepare and monitor annual budget, revenue goals and the expenses for the Food and Beverage Department You will also generate various (weekly/monthly) business volume forecasts and plan accordingly. You will ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized. You will inspect to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are consistently met.

Requirements

  • An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years’ minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet
  • Experience working at a lifestyle or full service hotel
  • Experience in a supervisor or managerial position
  • The ability to implement the established menu and service standards
  • The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates
  • The ability to manage, train and develop 50 plus associates
  • The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect

Responsibilities
