The Stovehouse Restaurant, located in the Suncadia Inn, is the perfect “19th hole” after a day at the Prospector Golf Course. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be focused on creating an inviting, social atmosphere while delivering great food, smooth service, and genuine hospitality. You’ll be a hands-on leader who energizes the team, builds connection with our club members, and creates incredible experiences that keep our resort guests coming back. Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in casual up-scale restaurant management, preferably in resort/hotel or club setting
• Knowledge of food, beverage, institutional supplies and other resort equipment
• At least three years of fine dining food and beverage experience preferred
• Must be knowledgeable in wine and wine service
• Thorough knowledge of cuisine and working knowledge of food preparation, dining room etiquette, service requirements, supervision, administration, and cost control
• Must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work well with others and function well in fast paced environment
• Able to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekend, and holidays
• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must obtain a Class 12 Mixologist permit within 14 days of beginning employment
• Current Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain one within 14-days of employment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for reinforcement of department and company standards through training including all Suncadia policies, procedures and safety regulations
• Responsible for understanding POS system, updating changes and training staff in its use
• Responsible for the correct administration and supervision of restaurant reservations
• Responsible for the proper use of supplies, materials, and equipment
• Responsible for maintenance of the wine program, adhering to corporate beverage programs, including the purchase, storage, inventory control and wine list incorporation of the restaurant and bar
• Conduct employee hiring and training, establish employee standards, conduct evaluations of work performance, accurate and timely management of payroll and employee work schedules
• Assists in the development and execution of new promotions, events, etc.
• Maintains strong knowledge of hospitality trends, especially in food & beverage
• Monitors service scores, shares with team and ensures service standards are met
• Assists with scheduling and payroll for all outlets
• Adjust daily staffing levels as appropriate
• Provides prompt follow-up to all guest concerns
• Touches tables in all outlets in an effort to strengthen guest relations
• Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
• Performs other duties as assigned
