About The Position

The James American Brasserie is growing! The Standard Hospitality Group is currently looking for experienced managers for our next venture in Nassau County! Are you someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys a fast-paced atmosphere, and interested in joining the best collaboration of industry professionals on Long Island? Requirements

  • At least 4 years of management experience in a Long island or New York City fine dining restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage with a sincere interest in the hospitality industry.
  • Great communication skills, professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction.
  • Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OpenTable a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dining room operations in a fast‑paced, full‑service restaurant environment
  • Lead and motivate front‑of‑house team members
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards
  • Drive profitability, efficiency, and quality control
  • Maintain a positive, team‑oriented work culture
  • Work collaboratively with back-of-house to ensure flawless guest experiences
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Train and develop staff with a focus on consistency and execution
