Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on, service-driven Restaurant General Manager to lead Café Marquesa. This role is responsible for the day-to-day restaurant operations, team leadership, guest experience, and financial performance of the outlet. The ideal candidate is a strong floor presence leader, comfortable in a smaller, high-touch environment, and passionate about delivering a refined but approachable dining experience.

Requirements

5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a luxury or boutique environment
Strong background in food & beverage operations and service standards
Experience with wine programs and a solid understanding of wine service
Proven ability to lead small teams with a hands-on approach
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Exert physical effort in lifting 50+ pounds on a regular basis
Push/Pull 50 + pounds
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
Remain in stationary and mobile position throughout the entire work shift.
Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the front-of-house team
Set the tone for service standards aligned with Relais & Châteaux expectations
Build a strong, accountable, and guest-focused team culture
Maintain a hands-on presence on the floor during service
Ensure a consistently high level of service and hospitality
Engage with guests and create memorable, personalized experiences
Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including service flow and staffing
Partner closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution and service timing
Maintain standards across dining room, bar, and overall presentation
Ensure all systems (POS, reservations, reporting) are functioning effectively
Manage labor, cost controls, and overall profitability
Drive revenue through thoughtful service, upselling, and wine program execution
Monitor performance and adjust operations as needed
Support and elevate the existing wine program
Train team on wine knowledge and service
Partner with leadership on beverage development and execution
