Restaurant General Manager - Eighty Ocean
About The Position
The Restaurant General Manager for Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar will lead, mentor, and manage the Food and Beverage team to ensure a sensational dining experience for guests. Eighty Ocean offers a relaxed dining experience with a stunning oceanside view, featuring an open-air concept that changes by daypart and season, and a screened-in porch for flexible dining or private events. The role requires a hands-on, energetic, experienced, and service-oriented individual dedicated to elevating the restaurant to be among the top on the Georgia Coast. This position is part of the Jekyll Island Club Resort and Jekyll Ocean Club Resort, which are properties within the Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection, offering various F&B outlets, event venues, and recreational activities.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide our guests with an exceptional experience.
- Creative, hardworking, and loves to establish relationships.
Responsibilities
- Work with budget and menu
- Monitor inventory
- Communicate with vendors
- Supply information about the Food and Beverage capabilities and programs to other departments and clients or potential clients.
- Respond to needs and requests of guests and potential guests.
- Ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first-class operation.
- Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
- Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees.
- Oversee and assist in hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel.
- Develop management skills in employees.
- Oversee weekly payroll for department.
