About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities in order to create comfortable, attractive and safe environments for our employees and guests. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all DineAmic venues so as to preserve the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning. The ideal candidate has strong general repair skills, a keen eye for detail, and is persistent in solving problems. They are well-organized, able to use a computer and technology, and can juggle competing priorities.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of proven experience as a Facilities Manager or relevant position
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to perform general maintenance and light repairs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day facilities operations for our corporate office and 10+ venue locations throughout the city of Chicago
  • Act as primary contact for any facilities-related issues or questions, including handling general troubleshooting of problems
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Perform general maintenance and light repairs
  • Bid out, schedule, and manage vendors for larger projects such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, etc. outside the Facilities Manager’s scope of expertise.
  • Create and maintain an accurate equipment inventory list
  • Conduct equipment audits
  • Create and implement a preventive maintenance program for electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems and equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and care for equipment and systems to prevent business disruptions
  • Review and approve invoices for scheduled and negotiated work
