About The Position
The Countrypolitan Bar and Kitchen Located inside the beautiful Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown The Countrypolitan Bar and Kitchen is a made-from-scratch establishment serving seasonal local and regional fare with a Southern gastropub feel. Enjoy craft cocktails made with fresh ingredients, local small-batch beers, and live music 7 days a week, featuring some of Nashville's most prolific songwriters. We are Hiring for a Part-Time Experience Host FREE PARKING AVAILABLE Must be available weekends Compensation: $20/hr Summary: The Restaurant Host is responsible for creating a welcoming and organized first impression for all guests. This role manages guest flow, seating, reservations, and communication with the service team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a warm, guest-focused demeanor.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and coworkers professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school education or related experience
- Must obtain and maintain any required certifications
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating arrangements in accordance with restaurant standards
- Escort guests to tables and present menus as needed
- Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding table status, guest needs, and service flow
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure balanced seating and optimal guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries
- Provide accurate information regarding menu items, specials, and hotel facilities when appropriate
- Support servers and bussers during peak periods as needed
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude toward guests and associates at all times
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
- Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time
