About The Position

Pelican Grand Beach Resort, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, seeks a dynamic Cook to be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices, prepping ingredients, maintaining a clean workstation, and collaborating with other kitchen staff to efficiently produce high-quality meals for customers; following all health and safety guidelines while adhering to menu specifications The Restaurant Cook will: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Follow Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers About The Pelican Grand Beach Resort: We are a very diverse team with a ton of personality! Requirements

  • Must have prior culinary experience in a restaurant
  • Must be flexible with days/hours/holidays
  • Be able to work well independently as well as with a team
  • Must be able to stand for long durations
  • Must be able to handle knives and other kitchen equipment
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
