Requirements

High School education or equivalent
Excellent people and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outgoing, energetic personality with a positive attitude.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with Company policy.
Ability to learn and demonstrate menu knowledge, including food and beverage preparation, and wine and beer descriptions.
Ability to learn and operate a keyboard and POS system.
Ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.
Ability to lift, handle and carry trays, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in customer service or food service role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
Provide menu information and answer any questions guests may have.
Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
Ensure guest satisfaction by following our Hospitality Sequence and promptly addressing any issues or concerns. Exemplify Ling & Louie’s Restaurants Core Values and Ling & Louie’s Hospitality.
Assemble and package food orders according to restaurant standards.
Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
Maintain a clean and organized service area and dining room.
Responsible for flow of food and beverage in both the dining room and the bar in accordance with restaurant expectations (this includes knowing 86’d items, VIPs and special orders).
Process guest payments accurately, including handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
Ensure proper cash management and report discrepancies to management.
Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other team members to create exceptional experiences for all.
Assist with restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines and standards.
Perform all duties and maintains knowledge of all Ling & Louie’s standards and procedures.
Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
Promote restaurant promotions and specials to enhance the dining experience.
Maintain excellent menu knowledge, guiding guests and making suggestions to enhance the dining experience.
