About The Position

Summary: Sets and clears restaurant tables; stocks all service stations; assists food servers with table service. Bussers keep premium dining rooms running clean, reset, and ready. This is a pace-and-pride position: fast table turns, sharp station stocking, and quiet teamwork that makes the service team look effortless.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain focused in a loud and busy environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ranging 6-12 hours, during events or as required by operational demands.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, ascending/descending stairs, as necessary.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up chairs/tables pre-event, and breaking down chairs/tables post-event. This role is essential for a proper reset of the restaurant for the next day of service.
  • Quickly clears dirty table settings and prepares table for resetting; promptly and consistently resets all serviceware as prescribed.
  • Clear, sanitize, and reset tables quickly and consistently to prescribed standards.
  • Maintains stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment, including silverware, linen and condiments; wipes down booths and chairs, moves tables and chairs, and cleans floors as necessary. Stock and maintain service stations (silverware, linens, condiments, glassware) throughout the event.
  • Serves guests beverages, breads and butter and replenishes as necessary; assists servers with food and beverage service.
  • Transports all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area.
  • Complete assigned side work, opening/closing duties, and general cleaning tasks.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation expectations in dining and support areas.
  • Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor.
  • Folds napkins throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
  • Performs all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning unexpected spills, handling special guest requests, and greeting and seating guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
