About The Position

the girl & the fig is hiring a Busser to support our dining room team in Sonoma. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and takes pride in keeping service areas clean, organized, and running smoothly. We are part of a Sonoma-based restaurant group with multiple concepts, catering, and events. Our focus is on high-quality ingredients, thoughtful service, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest. As a Busser at the girl & the fig , you’ll play an important role in supporting both guests and service staff throughout each shift. This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork to help maintain a seamless dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately
• California Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain)
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Clearing, resetting, and preparing tables for incoming guests
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
• Assisting servers with water service and table maintenance
• Restocking flatware, glassware, and service stations
• Supporting team members to ensure smooth and timely service
• Contributing to a positive and welcoming guest experience
