About The Position

The Busperson role involves stocking and maintaining supplies, inspecting and preparing service ware, clearing soiled items from tables to the dish wash area, cleaning and pre-setting tables, greeting guests, assisting servers with water and beverage delivery, removing unneeded place settings, carrying food trays, and potentially assisting with meal presentation during busy periods. The position also requires maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the dining room and service areas, and assisting with post-meal cleanup and side work duties. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk, stand stoop, bend, lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Stocks and maintains supplies in all service areas
  • Inspects and prepares all service ware prior to use
  • Clears soiled plates, service ware etc. from service areas and tables to dish wash area, sorts appropriately
  • Cleans and pre-sets tables with all service ware
  • Greets guests and assists Server with delivery of water and beverages
  • Removes unneeded place settings from occupied tables
  • Carries trays of food from kitchen to table
  • May assist Server in presentation of meals for large parties and during periods of heavy volume
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining room and service areas
  • Assists in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
  • Recycles whenever possible
  • Remains current with hotel information and changes
  • Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
