About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a talented Restaurant Server for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall. This will be the first JW Marriott in Virginia, a 28-story landmark overlooking Reston Row, featuring 247 rooms and the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia (35,000 sq ft). The hotel will house refined dining destinations like The Simon, offering modern American and Mid-Atlantic cuisine, and Schar Bar, a vibrant lounge with bold cocktails and curated Amaro selections. Requirements

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.
• Do all necessary set-up side work as assigned.
• Answer any guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
