About The Position

The Restaurant Assistant Manager is a leader who is committed to and responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) in implementing all restaurant operations. Leadership by example, communication skills, attention to detail and ability to perform duties with minimal oversight are critical aspects of the job. The Assistant helps ensure all team members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all aspects of their job descriptions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; is capable of communicating effectively with guests and co-workers; bilingual skills a plus.
  • Restaurant experience preferable, including full service, quick serve or fast food.
  • Must have or obtain a current Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently provides a quality product and guest service experience that delivers total guest satisfaction.
  • Models and creates an environment in which the guest is always right and ensures a positive guest service experience.
  • Responds positively and quickly to guest concerns.
  • Corrects potential problems before they affect our guests.
  • Helps hire high-quality people who demonstrate and ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
  • Helps to continuously improve the skills, knowledge and morale of all team members.
  • Treats the team members with dignity and respect and creates an environment where the entire team does the same.
  • Helps the GM to effectively utilize all training programs from new employee orientation up to and including management training classes.
  • Helps the GM maximize financial performance and profit.
